Ginger Punch


2 oranges, 1cm (1/2 inch) piece of fresh ginger root (peeled and grated), cloves to taste, 2 liters (3 1/2 pints) dry ginger ale, cinnamon stick


Stud oranges with cloves and bake in a pre heated oven (180c) for 25 minutes or until they are a rich golden colour. Cut oranges into slices and place them into a saucepan with the grated ginger, ginger ale, and cinnamon stick. Bring steadily just to the boiling then remove cinnamon stick and pour into heatproof glasses.
